santi020kway

The santi020k Way

One source.
For you and your agents.

Start with a preview

Your workflow.
A shared foundation.

Install the guidance you can inspect. Keep your personal settings and choose when to update.

01 / Build from source

Prepare the local release.

Build version 0.2.0 from the Way repository, or download its archives from GitHub Releases. To build locally, install the locked dependencies and build the CLI, both plugin distributions, and this website. Node 22.22.3 or newer and pnpm 10.34.3 are required.

bash
pnpm install --frozen-lockfile
pnpm build
pnpm way list
02 / Add your working agreements

Review before changing anything.

The first command previews the managed instructions and local reference paths. The second applies the exact preview. Existing text outside the Way section is preserved; model, permission, trust, and credential settings stay local.

bash
pnpm way setup codex
# Review the preview, then use its exact approval hash:
pnpm way setup codex --apply <preview-hash>

Already have extensive global instructions? The first install preserves them. Compare overlapping guidance deliberately before removing your old rules.

03 / Connect the plugin

Bring the catalog into the conversation.

The generated packages include three skills and a self-contained, read-only MCP server. Choose your agent’s local distribution; no npm publication or hosted service is required.

bash
codex plugin marketplace add ./packages/plugin/dist/codex
codex plugin add santi020k-way@santi020k-way

Ask: “Find the design guidance for this project” or “Review this change against the santi020k standards.” Your repository’s instructions and explicit decisions retain their scope.

04 / Keep a way back

Updates are reversible.

Setup returns a backup ID. Rollback previews the restoration and refuses to overwrite instructions edited since installation. Add --home /absolute/path to test either agent in a separate directory.

bash
pnpm way rollback codex --backup <backup-id>
pnpm way rollback codex --backup <backup-id> --apply <preview-hash>
